“Poor” Lucinda Chambers…after 36 years (!) of honoured service at Vogue UK she has been let go and (hmm) finds the courage to tell-it-all about how outdated is the world at Vogue.
Unfortunately in her candid interview following her dismissal she creates a boomerang effect. She shoots to the establishment, the same system that nurtured her and sponsored her “irrelevant-clothes focused” editorials for so many years.
That’s it, folks. In times of trouble you see how too many fashion people can be self-referred and outdated themselves, without even being aware of that.
I am still an eager reader of the printed fashion world, but this is a proof that it deeply needs to be refreshed and renewed. Big-egos living in an ivory towers are not so appreciated anymore. Fortunately.
