Mansur Gabriel was founded by Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel in 2012. In just six years they created a well renown brand whose bags are very often sold out.
With headquarters established in Manhattan, the two designers became a go-to-brand for many classy girls.
In a Vogue UK interview they said “we’d describe our aesthetic as playing with symbiotic contrasts; things that work well together, like clean lines and pure colour. We like a warmth of material even if the lines are simple. We found a really fine, very elevated vegetable-tanned leather at a factory in Italy, which we felt wasn’t being used properly in the fashion industry at that time, and that was the starting point.”
In 2016 they launched the shoes collection and in September 2017 they introduced their first ready-to-wear line.
Recently they opened two very-Instagrammable stores in Manhattan and Café Flora in Melrose Place, Los Angeles.
In a time of big flashy brands it is very refreshing to see a feminine, delicate yet powerful touch, elegant and classy enhancing women instead of treating them like dolls.
