Silvia Venturini Fendi
I had the privilege to work with Silvia during my tenure at Fendi, in a very challenging time for the company: the takeover from LVMH that led the company among the fashion superstars.
Silvia Venturini Fendi is the daughter of Anna, one of the legendary five Fendi sisters, the creative director for accessories and Men’s and the only member of the Fendi family still onboard after the LVMH acquisition.
Silvia is a clear example of the selfless, generous, talented, sharp business woman.
A true leader who empowered people to achieve the best, she generously raised generations of designers who have climbed the fashion olympus: Maria Grazia Chiuri, Pier Paolo Piccioli, Giambattista Valli, Frida Giannini, Alessandro Michele, Marco De Vincenzo.
Silvia is a force of nature but in a softer way. Camera shy but champion of the brand, she is the living proof that there is no need of a big, blinding ego to be a successful designer.
She raised the new generation of Fendi women (her daughters Delfina and Leonetta) with the same passion and grit she lived with her aunts and mother.
A curious, contemporary spirit with an eclectic and precise taste, Silvia is, with Karl Lagerfeld, the heart and soul of one of the most iconic Italian brands
